About Tatiana Kober

Tatiana specializes in both the production and business aspects of children's broadcasting globally. She has strong relationships with broadcasters and production companies around the world. Often a speaker at international events, she was asked to be a jury member at the Annecy Animation Festival, 2003.

Before starting Bejuba!, Tatiana Kober was the Managing Director of Egmont Imagination UK. She set up the London division of the Danish-based company, planned the strategy and ran the international children's distribution division. She played an integral role in securing the financing of new properties, finding partners for projects and possible co-ventures. She was a member of the creative board, which decided on the direction the company would take and the projects it would invest in. Tatiana also looked at third party productions in order to build the Egmont Imagination catalogue.

Tatiana joined Egmont Imagination in 2000, from her position as Children's Manager for GEM - ENDEMOL UK. There she distributed and co-developed Initial Kids' productions. In addition, her role included, assessing and acquiring programmes to build the children's catalogue.

Prior to working with GEM, Tatiana spent two years at BBC Worldwide in London, as a Sales Executive for children's drama and light entertainment programming. As a Children's Genre Specialist she reported on trends and news to CBBC Production and Global Brand Development.

Before joining BBC Worldwide, Tatiana lived in Tokyo, where she concentrated on securing co-productions for the Japanese national broadcaster, NHK.

Tatiana began her extensive media career in Canada working for TV Ontario. Over her six-years with the channel, Tatiana worked as director and associate producer on a variety of award-winning films and series.

Tatiana graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts (B.A.A.) degree, in Radio and Television Arts, from Canada's highest-rated journalism - and media program, Ryerson University, in Toronto, Canada. She speaks three languages -English, German, and French.
