Background
Bowled Over is Adam Larkum's second film. He developed the idea whilst he was one of the Animators in Residence for MOMI, it was later commissioned by Channel 4. Adam then approached Daniel Greaves and Nigel Pay, directors of Tandem Films and the result is Bowled Over, written, directed and animated by Adam Larkum and produced by Nigel Pay.

Synopsis
A developer's plans to bulldoze the site of a former bowling green stirs passions in the local community. A gentle tale of village values

Story
The story focuses on an Italian shopkeeper living in Scotland. A bowling green opposite his shop is about to be demolished and memories of his father, the original green keeper, come flooding back to him. He remembers how he promised that he'd look after the green when his father dies. The threat troubles him deeply and he embarks on a crusade to save the bowling green from the diggers
